This pretty campsite is situated on the edge of the hamlet of Byard’s Leap in a rural location. The campsite is certified CS by the Camping & Caravanning Club.
A small, friendly campsite with good amenities, including disabled toilet. The site has eight electrical hook-up pitches together with a rally field for clubs to hold events. A marquee with tables and chairs together with a gas BBQ are available on site for hire at prior request.
The site is level, grassy, well drained and offers beautiful views over Lincolnshire farm land.
The site is a great base for walking in the scenic and historic countryside of Lincolnshire or for relaxed cycling on quiet roads and bridleways linking the beautiful villages in the area. Also, this is an ideal location to explore the historic City of Lincoln and market towns of Newark, Grantham and Sleaford, or as a stop over en route to Norfolk.
The site is adjacent to the Byard’s Leap Cafe excellent for breakfasts and lunches (Thursday to Sunday) and a short drive to some great pubs/restaurants for lunch and dinner.
The site is on the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Trail, and is within easy reach of RAF Cranwell Heritage Centre, the Newark Air Museum and the Newark Showground.
The site is located off the B6403 Ancaster to Cranwell road just before the junction with the A17, Newark to Sleaford road.
From the A17 turn onto the B6403 to Ancaster. After 30m turn right.
The entrance to the site is to the right of The Old School.
Facilities include children’s play area, toilet block with showers & CDP. Dogs are welcome.
