Rue Hill caravan park is a great place to camp with the family and is close to amenities and attractions including Drayton Manor and Ashbourne which is commonly known as the Peak Districts entrance to the National Park. The site is suitable for the whole family and is situated in an ideal place to be able to explore the numerous attractions nearby. The site is set in 8 acres and all campers have access to free hot shower facilities, clean toilets and even facilities for recycling.
To keep everyone entertained there are also football and volleyball nets all you have to bring is a barbeque and you are set up for your stay. Unlike many campsites the electricity is not powered by fossil fuels and instead is created by solar power making your camping experience even greener without having to give up the comforts of home such as hot running water and lighting. Children under the age of 5 can even camp for free and you will be able to hire a campfire on your pitch with all logs and kindling included.
For a more luxurious experience you can hire one of the cotton canvas tents which boast wooden floors, beautiful fairy lights and lanterns. The bell tents are in a private section of the campsite giving up to 2 people space, privacy and luxury with the most beautiful views you have ever seen. As part of the bell tent package you will also have a picnic bench of your own and can hire a campfire which includes everything you need to keep toasty when the sun goes down. Inside of the bell tent you will find a nice big mattress that is equipped with your own rug, a nice comfortable mattress and blankets to keep warm at night. For that extra touch there are also flowers and you can get ready for the day ahead using the included side table and mirror. All you need to bring is your own sheet, duvet and pillows. No setting up or struggling to pitch your tent, everything will be waiting for you when you arrive.
In July you can be part of the Yewstock beer and music Festival without having to worry about your trip back home as your tent will be waiting for you nearby. There is also the real ale trail and a family bushcraft course where you can learn some great survival skills and sink your teeth into the experience of living outdoors knowing you can retreat to your tent when the day is over. There are so many different things to see and do nearby that you will be spoiled for choice. The only thing you will need to decide is which one you want to do first whether it’s a hair raising trip to Drayton Manor or the Antiques road show. Camping at Rue Hill Caravan park is an enjoyable experience for all ages and you will definitely want to come again to relive it all over again.
