If you are looking for a nice peaceful camping getaway from the busy modern way of life then Platts Farm Campsite could be just what you need. It is family run and can accommodate both tents and small camping vans on its grounds which include a Victorian farm that is grade 2 listed. You can rest assured that the local amenities including pubs and shops are only a short walk away as is the beautiful beach. After all who wants to jump back in the car after a nice relaxing day.

If you are looking for something that is a little more luxurious than camping in a tent or camper van you can hire the bunkhouse which is great if you love the outdoors but want a few more home comforts. It is able to sleep up to 10 people and has 2 bedrooms, one sleeping 4 and the other 6. You can leave your coats and boots in the entrance porch and dine in the kitchen area which has its own table for everyone to eat together. It has its own shower room complete with power shower and even has enough of an area to be able to erect a picnic table or store bikes and/or kayaks. If you are coming in more than one vehicle you will be happy to know that the private parking area can accommodate 4 cars. During the colder nights you will love the fact that it has storage heaters and home safety including a fire alarm and even emergency lighting.

If you don’t fancy pitching your own tent then you can rent a pre erected soul pad tent. The three metre bell tent can be provided furnished or unfurnished and campers can even enjoy electricity for charging their phones etc without having to leave their tent of a night. The 5 meter tent is great for bigger parties of up to 5 people and is also available furnished or unfurnished with a choice of electricity if you can’t do without your phones and gadgets during your stay.

If you have lots of energy and want to explore the outdoors then why not visit and walk the Welsh 3000 peaks or explore the 180 miles of welsh coastline? Llanfairfechan is also a beautiful Victorian town nearby with its own beach. You can take a walk along the promenade and visit the bird reserve where you will meet the biggest population of Great Crested Grebe as well as many other creatures including Lapwing. In the town the whole family find something to keep them entertained. Younger members will love the 2 playgrounds and you can try your hand at tennis on the courts or take a wade in the paddling pool.

If you want to pick up a bit of history on your visit you can take a walk through Close which has 25 Craft and Art houses that were designed in the 1800’s by Herbert Luck North. If you walk through the village you can also visit the Snowdonia National park with the company of wild ponies.
