  • Description

For a site as close to the sea as possible, this one takes some beating. It really is a stone’s throw across the pebble ridge that seperates the two mile long sandy beach from the site. Located between Haverfordwest and St. Davids, and in the Pembrokeshire National Park, this site is ideal for touring this lovely area. The facilities on site are ‘basic’, but good. Hot showers / toilet block / wash area / chemical toilet disposal. There’s a pub right next door, and alongside that there is a good provisions shop, which also doubles as the local surf centre for the adventurous! A cafe is just a short hop from the pub too. This site is well established, and no booking is required. The owners make sure you have a wonderful time in this very welcoming part of Wales.

Been coming there for many years but sadly no more due to no longer allowing dogs on site??? Basic no frills site set in wonderful location with nearby ammenites and an ideal base to explore the unspoilt locations nearby. Just don’t set up tents too close to beach side due to flooding in bad weather!

A great campsite, good, basic facilities and soooo close to the beach. Fantastic. Have been for many years, unfortunately haven’t had a chance to get there this year … yet!! Regarding other review on this campsite – if you pick your pitch carefully on the beach side flooding isn’t a problem. Last year we camped on the far side and had to pack down in the middleof the night as our tents collapsed due to high winds!!

We visited this site a few years ago and found it to be a wonderful family run campsite. Whole ethos is about good family holidaying – at its best too. Good facilities, very clean, newly renovated. Stunning views and sea just a stones throw away. Shop nearby for provisions. Helpful staff who are approachable and honest. We have told all our camping friends that this is THE place to come in Wales. Give it a go – we’ll be back again this year.
