Longthorns Farm in Dorset is a great place to stay if you want to visit the nearby attractions including Monkey World which is right next door and even the Famous Jurassic Coast. This working farm has facilities that allow you to camp out under the stars in your own tent or experience glamping where you are able to camp with many of the luxuries of home. Being so close to Monkey world you can even hear the gibbons singing each morning, an experience not to be missed.
If you want to camp you don’t have to worry about pitching a tent as they are also able to accommodate camper vans and motor homes or if you are looking for something a little different then you can book a tipi or shepherd hut. You can even get a few essentials on site in the reception area and there is lots of room for recreational activities. During the summer months you can visit the renovated Parlor where you are able to purchase local ale and cider during the evenings. On Fridays and Saturdays you have the option of joining in with local musicians who play on the patio.
The Tipi accommodation has been given a modern twist for your comfort and of course the weather. The 4 available give you extra privacy set away from the main site within the trees and even a couple of hammocks have been set up so that you can relax. They have been furnished with a choice of double or single beds, cushions and even a cook house which is outside with the choice of sheltered cooking should the weather not be agreeable. Use the traditional Kelly Kettle to warm up your favourite hot drink over the fire pit and don’t worry about plates and knives and forks as everything is included. Each tepee can sleep up to 4 people so all you will need is your sleeping bag! Even kindling for the fire is included and your holiday home will be lit up by solar lights while you relax in the evenings with family and/or friends.

On site you can partake in the woodland walk where you will encounter chickens, cows, horses and even alpacas. You can even bring your four legged friend(s) along so that they can enjoy your holiday too.
If you like the outdoors you will love the spectacular Country side where you can walk or cycle for miles or you may wish instead to take a river boat trip. In the summer the beautiful miles of beach (many being dog friendly) will give you hours of relaxation, topping up your tan or cooling off in the sea. Corfe Castle is also nearby if you want to check out one of the famous landmarks.
