  • Description

A warm island welcome awaits you at this small friendly, family-run site which lies immediately beside the home of the owner in Shawbost on the scenic west coast of Lewis.

Opened in 1992, Eilean Fraoich campsite is situated one mile from Shawbost shore and it’s adjacent freshwater loch as well as being overlooked by Beinn Bhragair.

The camp site is also close to many significant historical sites such as the Arnol Black House (re-creating the living conditions that continued in rural Lewis well into the Twentieth century), the Callanish Standing Stones, The Carloway Broch (a relic of Pictish life two thousand years ago) and the medievel Norse Mill.
