    The parkland setting of the Edisford Riverside Picnic and Recreation area is home to our Clitheroe Club Site. South of the Forest of Bowland, the Site is peaceful and close enough for day trips to the coast.

    Clitheroe town is a couple of miles away. The 12th century Norman keep overlooks the town and the museum holds the North West Sound Archive of 9,000 recordings made in the area. Pendle Borough Council publishes several car trails, including Brontes and Browsing and Boats and Beams. Manchester is an hours drive away, with its shopping facilities, the Museum of Science and Industry and the Imperial War Museum North. Pendle View Fisheries has coarse and fly-fishing facilities. Towneley Hall Art Gallery and Museums includes a country house, aquarium and natural history centre as well as the country house. Knowsley Safari Park is home to lions, tigers and a baboon jungle.
